A musical marathon at Banbury School raised more than £600 for its music department.
More than 30 keen music students took part in a sponsored 12-hour session during their Easter break, playing a variety of instruments. Music teacher Rachel Pollard, who ran the 'music-a-thon' with colleague Dr Peter Foster, said: "It really is pleasing to see so many young people give up part of their holiday to raise money for the school music department.
"Music is such an improtant entitlement for all our students, but it is extremely expensive to run due to the cost of music and instruments. I would like to thank all of the students and their sponsors."
