Young singers and dancers are rehearsing for a charity song and dance night in support of two fundraising sisters.
Mr Mitchell with local children
Last summer, Jenny Carter, 40, of Wantage, and her sister Gill Parrot, 41, of Grove, both discovered breast lumps on the same day. Jenny was given the all-clear, but Gill was diagnosed with cancer and has only just finished ten months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment.
The pair have thrown themselves into fundraising for breast cancer research and the Anthony Nolan Trust, and performers at the Didcot Saturday Morning Stage School in the Ladygrove community centre have been joined by professional entertainer Jim Mitchell.
Mr Mitchell, who also runs the Friday Night Wantage Stage School, is pictured with local children during preparations for the event at the Civic Hall in Wantage on May 9.
The show starts at 7.30pm.
