Oxfordshire veterans John Exley and Mike Shipway won national age group titles in the British Masters 10K Road Championships at Chelmsley Wood, Birming- ham.
Mike ShipwayOxford City stalwart Exley completed the undulating course in very windy conditions in 35mins 31secs to win the over 55 age group from clubmate Roy Treadwell, who took category silver in 35.59.
Woodstock's Shipway won the over 60 veteran championship with 38.31.
Running in the over 45 group, Oxford's Brian Green managed a bronze medal with an excellent 33.35.
Oxford City won the over 50 national team title through the efforts of Exley, Tread- well and Mike Welland, who crossed the line in 36.53.
In the women's competition, Headington's Allison Hirst clocked 37.53 for second place in the over 35 section.
