A former vicar of Launton and a member of the Bicester team ministry, the Rev John Blyth, has died, aged 66.
Mr Blyth was a team vicar with responsibility for Launton.
In 1984, he became priest in charge of Long Hanborough, Church Hanborough and Freeland.
He was rector of the Hanboroughs and Freeland from 1986 to 1989.
Mr Blyth took early retirement from full-time work for health reasons in 1996 but spent some time working for the Anglican Diocese in Europe, based in Italy.
He also conducted some services at Holy Trinity Church in Headington Quarry, Oxford, after moving to the area.
Before he became a clergyman in 1966 he was a teacher.
When he moved to Launton he had been chaplain at RAF Benson, near Wallingford, for four years.
Mr Blyth was married with two daughters.
His funeral was held at Holy Trinity Church.
