A STREET fair took over Bampton's Market Square on May 5 to help raise money for pensioners living in the village.
The annual event was staged by the Bampton Pumpkin Club, which as well as growing giant pumpkins and marrows fundraises throughout the year to provide a cash gift to every pensioner at Christmas.
The street fair include an all-day disco by DJ Megamix, dog show, craft fair, barbecue, children's rides and teas.
Alice Landray enjoys the fair
Pictured enjoying the fun is five-year-old Alice Landray.
The event has been held every year since 1979, but the key annual event is in October, with the annual weighing-in of pumpkins.
There is keen competition among villagers and outside members to grow the biggest specimens of the fruit, as well as giant marrows.
The club usually hands out several thousand pounds each year to help local pensioners.
