Pupils who had competed for their country or shown commitment to their school team were praised at King Alfred's Community Sports College's annual sports awards.

The ceremony was held for the first time in Wantage Civic Hall to let more parents, staff and governors attend.
The guest speaker was Ian Atkins, manager of the Oxford United.
Simon Spiers, the college's assistant principal, said: "As well as highlighting the students who have achieved national and international success, the awards also recognised those who have turned out throughout the year to represent their clubs and teams."
