An Oxfordshire authority has received a £10,000 boost to help promote food hygiene and healthy eating.
Cherwell District Council was one of just 10 councils nationwide to be awarded the grant by the Food Standards Agency.
Seventy authorities took part in the promotion, which asked councils to devise a project based on the agency's four Cs -- chilling, cooking, contamination and cleanliness.
Joy Webb, technical officer in the public protection department, said: "Food poisoning occurs in the home as well as restaurants. This money will help us prepare a package of training sessions."
