An anonymous donor has doubled a reward to help find the person who attacked and robbed an elderly woman, who later died.
Gladys Gardner, 83, of Villeboys Close, Abingdon, suffered a broken hip in the robbery and died seven weeks later in the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
Mrs Gardner was pushed over and robbed of her handbag, which contained her pension, at about 11am, near St James Road in Radley, on February 13.
Her empty handbag was found near the entrance to Culham Lock the following day.
An anonymous donor offered a reward of £5,000 for significant information leading to the identification and prosecution of the attacker.
The donor has now increased the reward to £10,000.
Det Insp Andy Boyd, of Abingdon CID, said: "We still need more information from the public. We hope that by increasing the reward someone will come forward with information to help us solve this attack on a defenceless old lady."
The attacker is believed to be aged about 20. He was wearing a dark navy blue hooded jacket.
Anyone with information should call 01993 886530 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
