Consultants, surgeons and paediatric staff from the John Radcliffe Hospital, in Headington, are taking part in the Four Peaks Challenge to climb the highest mountains in Great Britain and Ireland.
They will use an Oxfordshire Ambulance Trust patient transport minibus to travel the 620 miles between Ben Nevis, in Scotland, Scafell Pike, in the Lake District, Snowdon, in Wales, and Carrantouhill, in Ireland.
Dr Niall Jones is leading the team of eight who will start the challenge on May 15.
He said: "We've had fantastic support from everyone and we hope the local community will get behind us to help raise as much money as possible."
