A 29-year-old man was found with serious head injuries in the centre of Banbury on May 10.
Police officers discovered the man in North Bar Street, near St Mary's Church, at about 3.30am.
He was taken by ambulance to The Horton Hospital in the town.
He was later transferred to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, where his condition was described as serious.
Three men were arrested and questioned in connection with the incident.
Today police said no one had been charged.
