Oxford Times Cherwell Cricket League round-up: Reigning champions Shipton-under-Wychwood crashed to a seven-wicket defeat against Banbury Twenty after being put in to bat on a rain-affected pitch.
Shipton never recovered from a wretched start, which saw them reduced to 2-2.
Jason Constable and Ian Lewis provided some resistance with 31 apiece, but it couldn't save Shipton from being shot out for 128, Keith Arnold (4-34) and Mark Rowell (4-49) doing the damage.
Dave Burbidge then guided Twenty to 130-3 with an unbeaten 64.
**Shipton 8, Banbury Twenty 30
New skipper Ashley Holznagel hit an unbeaten 128 on his return to Challow & Childrey - but it couldn't save them from a seven-wicket defeat against Bourton Vale.
The Aussie's ton helped Challow rattle up 257-5 after they were put into bat.
But Vale, last year's Division 2 champions, took up the challenge and captain Paul Lazenbury hit an unbeaten 137 to take his side to 259-3.
**Bourton Vale 30, Challow 13
New Aussie star Winton Willacy made an unbeaten 77 to see Aston Rowant to an easy eight-wicket win at Sandford St Martin.
Batting first, Sandford were in dire straits at 30-5, before Mark Robey (49) and Kevin Duester (34no) took them to 143-8.
But that posed few problems as Willacy took Rowant to 145-2.

Oxford Downs came within an ace of victory against Dinton in a high-scoring draw.
Luke List (84) and Steve Roberts (53) helped Downs to 255-8, Ivor Jones taking 4-38.
Dinton were reduced to 8-2, but they fought back with Jones making an unbeaten 70 as Paul Hebbert took 4-65.
With 11 runs needed by the last pair off the final over, Downs spilled two chances and Dinton held on at 247-9.
**Oxford Downs 19, Dinton 18
Aussie Chris Dawkin (122) led Buckingham to a four-wicket win at Kimble.
He shared a fifth-wicket stand of 160 with Bryn Jones (64) to see Buckingham home at 290-6 after they had been struggling at 107-4.
Earlier, Kimble made 287-7 thanks to Andy Russell (87), Naz Shafiq (61) and John Robinson (55).
