Nine Oxfordshire organisation have benefited from a concert attended by former US President Bill Clinton.
Representatives from the groups, schools and charities received part of the £30,000 raised at the annual Churchill Memorial Concert held in March at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock.
The charities were:
The Banbury Young Homelessness Project
Energy & Vision -- a new drugs education service
Marlborough School, Woodstock -- which is linked to Ormerod Special School in Oxford for children with physical and learning disabilities
The Music Therapy Charity -- which works with children and adults with special needs, mental health and emotional problems and the terminally ill
The Oxfordshire Playbus -- which provides recreational activities for children, young people and adults
Penhurst School in Chipping Norton
The Abingdon and New Yatt groups for the Riding For The Disabled Association
SeeSaw, which provides grief support to children.
