Oxford Silver Machine have axed their out-of-sorts speedway rider Jernej Kolenko.
With only a handful of points from his recent meetings, the young Slovenian can have few complaints.
And if Oxford are to make the play-offs, they needed to strengthen at the bottom end.
Kolenko, who came from Kings Lynn with Oxford's promoter Nigel Wagstaff, will be replaced by a further 'doubling up' duo of Niels Kristian Iversen and Steve Masters.
Iversen, already an asset of Oxford, is in his first full season of British League racing where he is proving to be a star with Premier Division side Newport.
Masters has always been a popular rider, famed for his never-say-die attitude, and is riding for Premier League Trelawny Tigers.
He was a long-time member of the Swindon Robins team.
The move, which is still subject to approval from the British Speedway Promoters Association, will give Silver Machine greater flexibility.
