After a delayed start, Bicester won the toss and elected to field in a game reduced to 84 overs.

Ian Mason grabbed threeThame wickets, while overseas player Rakesh Dhruve smashed a quickfire 30 runs amid the thunder clouds to show a glimpse of his potential.

However,with the score at 96-4 off 29 overs, the rain returned with a vengeance.
