A man whose decomposed body was found on disused allotments had to be formally identified by fingerprints, Oxfordshire Coroner Nicholas Gardiner heard on Wednesday, May 21, at the opening of an inquest into the man's death.
Peter Lenge, 45, unemployed, was reported missing on March 31. His body was found off Barton Village Road, Oxford, on May 2.
Mr Lenge lived mainly at the Night Shelter in Oxford, and was a patient at the Warneford Hospital in Headington.
Personal papers were also found on his body, which was discovered by a man out walking his dog.
Mr Gardiner adjourned the hearing to a date to be fixed.
An inquest has opened into the death of a young man who died following a night out with a friend earlier this week.
Gareth Hopkins, 27, who lived in Flatford Place, Kidlington, returned to a friend's house in Cowley on Monday, May 19, where he was taken ill.
An ambulance was called and took him to the accident and emergency department at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital, but he died shortly after being admitted.
Coroner Nicholas Gardiner adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.
