Henley bowed out with a four-run defeat at home to Finchampstead in a rain-affected match.
Chasing the visitors' 198-9 from 45 overs, Henley saw their target reduced to 194 after two rain interruptions.
They needed five to win off the last four balls with two wickets left, but both J-C Satin and Niall Thorburn were run out with the score on 189 to leave Finchampstead victorious.
It was a game Henley should have won. They looked to be on course when Dave Allaway (37) was going well, but he fell to a brilliant catch on the boundary by Paul Carter, who also pegged the home side back with his off-spinners.
Loughborough UCCE player Carter was completing a good all-round game, having made 53 in Finchampstead's innings, with Harry Hall weighing in with 42.
