Banbury marched on in the National Club Championship with an 18-run victory over Coventry & North Warwicks in the third round at White Post Road.
The early abandonment of the first day of Oxfordshire's match against Berkshire at Falkland on Sunday gave Banbury a pre-match boost, with their county contingent of Richard Kaufman, Simon Launder, Jimmy Phillips and Ian Tew suddenly becoming available.
They raced back to Banbury where the home side made 233-9 from their 45 overs, with Kaufman making the top score of 32 and several other batsmen getting in, without making a major score.
In reply, Coventry were restricted to 215-9, with the wickets shared around.
Paul Taylor picked up three, while Launder and Phillips collected two each.
Now Banbury are at home to Bromsgrove in round four on Sunday, June 8.
