Tiddington revived memories of their glory days in the National Village Championship with a shock 48-run victory at home to Aston Rowant in the third round.

Tim Morgan strikes out for TiddingtonNational runners-up at Lord's in 1995, Tiddington struggled before a late rally by Darren Cross and Nick Edmondson took them to 151-6 off their 40 overs.

The Cherwell League Division 3 side then produced an inspired bowling display to send their Division 1 opponents crashing to 103 all out.

Seamers Neil Smith (3-4) and Jack Brooks did the damage, reducing Rowant to 9-3 from the opening 12 overs.

Pete Unsworth then got in on act with 4-38, including the key wicket of Nick O'Hara as Rowant caved in.
