A dozen took part in the event organised by the Vale and Downland Museum's children's club, held in the Guide Hall on May 28.
The aim was to construct a buggy that could go up steep slopes, and even carry a toy passenger.
Annie Harris, who organised the workshop assisted by her sons Tim and Thomas, said: "The children had a wonderful time, and they did really well.
"Almost all of them managed all three challenges."
