It's played two, won two for the Oxfordshire Vice Presidents after their 132-112 victory over Buckinghamshire VP's at Banbury Borough.
George Swan's and Ian Whelpton's rinks tied for the highest winning rink, with the same shots difference of 11 and number of winning ends. The former took the glasses with the highest shots scored, 27-16 to Whelpton's 23-12.
Oxon's two other successful rinks were Melvyn Brain, 24-18, and Jim Gow, who picked up a four on the last end to win 22-21.
Alan Sleeman's rink led 19-16 with three ends to play, but dropped seven shots over the last three ends to lose 21-19.
Oxon's other losing rink, skipped by Paul McGrath, came back from 15-3 down to 15-10, but then dropped a disastrous seven which stayed the difference, finally losing 24-17.
