The nightmare ended for defending champions Oxford City when they finally recorded their first victory of the Shaw & Co Oxfordshire Foursomes League campaign - at the fifth attempt.
City trimphed 2-1 away to fellow strugglers Tadmarton Heath in Section 1, but it was a mighty close contest, as both City's wins came by one hole.
Their triumphant partnerships were Andy Hooker & Andy Wootton, and Stuart Hamilton & Mark Hall.
Tadmarton's win came from Andrew Mason & Roger Maule who beat David Summers & Ian Bound 4 & 3.
Hadden Hill's winning run at the top of Section 2 came to a shuddering halt, when they were whitewashed 3-0 away to lowly Brailes.
Their cause was not helped when their third pair of Adrian Smith & Paul Chana had to concede due to a car breakdown en route.
