Families of Oxfordshire Territorial Army soldiers woke up with their loved ones on June 3 after the troops returned home from a 13-week peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan.
The Royal Green Jackets soldiers arrived at their base at The Slade, in Headington, Oxford, last night after a long delay because of transport problems.
They were among international troops deployed to help rebuild Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, after the Taliban regime was driven out last year following the terrorist attacks in the US in September 2001.
