Police have revealed thieves have been using cat flaps to break into homes in Thame -- a week after Bicester police warned of similar burglaries.
Thame police said several cat flap burglaries had taken place in the town this year and urged householders to step up security.
Pc Colin Cox, crime reduction officer at Thame, said: "Thame has suffered several cat flap burglaries this year. If offenders cannot reach keys in locks, they may use instruments with a hook to do the job.
"Householders should fit deadlocks and bolts to their doors and ensure house and car keys are kept out of sight."
