A man has been charged with causing criminal damage over an incident in which paint was thrown at an artist in an Oxford gallery.
Aaron Barschak, 36, of Hamilton Road, London, appeared before Oxford magistrates on June 4 after controversial Turner Prize nominee Jake Chapman was splattered with paint at Modern Art Oxford on Friday.
Barschak was remanded on bail until June 17.
The protest was believed to be about the brothers' alteration to a rare edition by the Spanish artist, Goya, called The Disasters of War , which is considered to be one of his greatest works.
