Mid Oxon rider Stuart House won Oxonian CC's latest ten-mile time trial at Weston-on-the-Green in a time of 22mins 18secs.
Nick Druce came seventh
The course, which includes a stretch of the A34 south to Kidlington, is one of the fastest in the county.
Although conditions were not perfect, six other riders clocked times below 23mins - runner-up Vince Walker, Chris Edginton, Simon Gates, Paul Granger and Peter Oliver. Nick Druce was seventh in 23.22.
In Oxonian's season-long time trial league, Walker, heads Division 1 with 180 points, ahead of Patrick Smith (147).
In Division 2, Matt Bowmer leads the way with 174 points ahead of John Vallis (122) in second place.
Division 3 looks like being much closer, with John Ellis and Colin Fisher tied at the top on 144 and Tim Thorne back in third place on 123.
