People put their hands in their pockets to help raise £350 towards a £400,000 church appeal in Thame.
It is the third time the town's Christchurch United Reformed Church has started a mile of coins in Greyhound Lane as part of the appeal.
The church has laid143 yards of coins so far.
Church members want to demolish a flight of stone steps and fit a lift to improve access for disabled and elderly worshippers.
The Rev David Sharp said: "We are doing this as part of our drive to raise the last £50,000 towards the work."
The church is planning to have a fundraising stall at Thame Carnival on June 21 and Mr Sharp is planning an eight-hour sponsored sermon on June 28.
