It will be a family affair at The Mill in Banbury, when mother and daughter Chris and Kellie While take to the stage on June 8.
Chris is well known to many folk and acoustic music fans in north Oxfordshire for her previous appearances at The Mill and Cropredy Festival - as well as shows with singing partner, Julie Matthews, the Carole King/Joni Mitchell tribute band Blue Tapestry and Christmas ensemble St Agnes Fountain.
A multi-talented performer, she plays guitar, bodhran, banjo, dulcimer and percussion.
Kellie, 25, is an exciting and original contemporary roots singer/ songwriter.
Best known for her debut solo album Tenacious in 2000, she started gigging at the age of 13 in youth concerts and folk clubs.
At 14 she was tipped for success by the late Betty Carter. At 19 she was asked to join The Albion Band, and for the next six years toured extensively with the reformed Albion electric line-up.
She became lead singer with the afro-folk fusion band e2K, which became firm favourites at Cropredy, Trowbridge, Sidmouth and Bridgnorth festivals.
This mother and daughter act have a terrific joint musical talent. Box office 01295 252050.
