Noisy north of the border rockers Biffy Clyro make their debut in Oxford on June 12, to promote their new single.
The band, who hail from Kilmarnock and Ayr, are a formidable live unit recognized for their complex - even crazy - styles.
They should also go down in history as the band with the
silliest-sounding EP, thekidswhopoptodaywillrocktomorrow.
The band consists of Simon Neil, his former schoolmate Ben Johnston and his twin brother James Johnston - all sing lead vocals.
Their website credits them as blending 'moments of extreme aggression, with achingly tender guitar pickings and passionately lovelorn lyricism' - which pretty much sums up their appeal.
Now on Beggars Banquet, Biffy Clyro's tour follows countless festival appearances and support slots with the likes of Sunna and The Llama Farmers.
If you heard their powerful debut album, Blackened Sky, don't miss them live. Also check out the single Questions and Answers, and new album The Vertigo of Bliss (out on June 16).
Also on are instruction, formed from the ashes of Errortype:11, and Quicksand, and who have already toured with Hell Is For Heroes and Funeral For A Friend and played the Kerrang Weekender.
Tickets £6.50 in advance/ £7.50 on the door. Doors open 7pm. Open to over-14s. Box office 01865 420042.
