Plastics recycling and a tool swap shop will visit Charlbury and Finstock on June 7 in a new move to cut waste.
The Charlbury Area Action on Waste Group wants residents to come and swap garden tools and household items at the Memorial Hall, from 10am until noon.
Remaining unwanted items will be collected by West Oxfordshire District Council after the event and taken to the Dean Pit waste recycling centre, near Chadlington, where they will then be made available to anyone able to use them.
The town's residents are also being asked to bring their empty plastic bottles to a recycling skip which will be at the Spendlove Centre between 10am and 2pm.
Finstock Recycling Group is also recycling plastic bottles tomorrow. A skip will be at Well Hill from 11am to 1pm.
