Parts of Grove could become alcohol-free zones as part of a police campaign to clamp down on vandalism and anti-social behaviour.
Community officer Pc Kim Claxton has asked parish councillors in the village to consider bringing in a by-law for Millbrook Square and Savile Way.
Drinking might also be barred in Marygreen and Bosley's Orchard.
Anyone caught drinking could be arrested if they continued to drink alcohol after being asked to stop.
The parish council, which would have to get Home Office approval before introducing the measures, agreed to explore the idea further.
