Oxford United striker Andy Scott, last season's leading scorer, has signed a new contract with the club.
Andy ScottScott has agreed a one-year deal, with the option of a further year, despite having to take a substantial pay cut to stay at the Kassam Stadium.
The former Brentford forward joined the U's in 2001, and becomes United's first 'signing' of the summer after his two-and-a-half year deal expired last month.
Scott, who scored 11 goals last season, with ten of those coming away from home, said: "I'm delighted to have signed. We got so close to the play-offs last season and I am sure that we can do even better next time."
Boss Ian Atkins added: "Andy was the top scorer last season, and I think he could have had even more goals, especially at home.
"I am speaking to other people and I am confident that there will be one or two new faces as well over the next couple of weeks."
