Betty Atkins, stalwart of Wallingford's political scene, celebrated her second term of office as the town's mayor on June 7 with a formal parade in Market Square.
The event, known as Mayor's Sunday, was attended by representatives from RAF Benson, the Wallingford & District Royal British Legion and local Scouts and Guides.

Members of local organisations later joined Mrs Atkins in the nearby Regal Centre for a reception after a service led by the Rev David Rice in St Mary-le-More Church.
Mrs Atkins was previously mayor in 1998-99, when she supported a successful campaign to save the town's community hospital from closure.
She said fighting cuts in local health services would also be an important issue in her second year of office, but the priority was to get the swimming pools re-opened at the town's Riverside Park.
