It was the centrepiece of a weekend of events at St Mary's to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Queen's coronation.

Displays based on the theme paid tribute to events and people that have featured over the past 50 years, with many local businesses and organisations supporting as sponsors

The festival was opened by Witney rector the Rev Cameron Butland and was open to the public throughout the weekend.

On June 7,the church put on a concert while the following day the combined choirs of St Mary's and Holy Trinity in Witney, and The Bartons joined forces for choral evensong.

Other events, all raising money for St Mary's preservation trust, included a Coronation bellringing session on June 7.
