A series of bike rides and events are taking place in and around Wantage to encourage people back into the saddle to mark National Bike Week.
The Wantage section of the Cyclists' Touring Club is gearing up for a week of activities designed to remind people of the benefits of cycling.
The events start on June 14 with free bicycle safety checks being carried out in Millbrook Square, Grove, from 10am to 2pm.
On June 15, the group has organised a 50-mile ride to Buscot Park, at Lechlade, including lunch and a visit to the house, leaving Wantage Market Place at 9am.
On June 17, riders can choose a fast or leisurely ride, both setting off from Millbrook Square at 6.30pm, and on June 18 there is an introduction to off-road cycling, starting from Wantage Market Place at 6.30pm.
On June 19, riders will head to the Rose Revived pub, in Newbridge, for a meal or drink.
On June 22, there will be a cycle treasure hunt, starting at the WI Hall, in North Hinksey Lane, Oxford, between noon and 3pm, in aid of Six Counties Kidney Patients Association.
