OCA League round-up: Jeffrey Rodgers returned superb figures of 7-27, but still ended up on the losing side as Tetsworth lost their unbeaten record against Westbury in Division 1.

Richard Tredwell hit 82 as he took Westbury to a reasonable total of 172, with Rodgers doing the damage.

But Tetsworth were unable to reach the target, falling to 133 all out with Tredwell bagging 5-40).

Perry Senior (75) and Alan Williams (34) set up a 41-run victory for Witney Swifts over Oxford Caribbean.

Swifts reached 177 all out, before Mark Roche (4-31) and Williams (3-34) rolled Caribbean over for just 136.

Hook Norton edged to a thrilling three-run victory at Freeland.

After winning the toss, Hooky made the most of the friendly batting conditions.

Opener Simon Richards (47) and Tim Lunel (87) put on a partnership of 76 to steer Hooky to 206-8.

Freeland then lost three early wickets, before Ian Harris (69) and Sam Symonds (39) took the home side to the brink of victory.

But Lunel (3-41) pegged them back, and a six off the last ball was not enough

Garsington saw off Shrivenham by 15 runs in the bottom-of-the-table clash.

Garsington rattled up 218-8, Neil Jones top-scoring with 60.

Despite Mark Whale's 99, Shrivenham could only muster 203-6 in reply.

In Division 2, Twyford picked up their first victory with a four-wicket win against Faringdon.

Faringdon scored a formidable 230, thanks to Nigel Hutt (82) and Dave James (68).

But Haroon Malik then hammered a brilliant 142 in Twyford's reply.

Richard Carr (4-23) and John Chittenden (40) were the main contributors in Chinnor's five-wicket victory against Oxford Rescue.

An unbeaten 88 from Jamie Leonard, and 4-18 from 17-year-old Lee Hodges enabled Marsh Gibbon to beat Broughton by 15 runs, but an unbeaten 71 from Charlbury's Ashley Rump could not prevent a Harwell victory.

In Division 3, leaders Minster Lovell marched on with a 43-run victory at Letcombe.

Bill Bowman made a major contribution with bat and ball, hitting 67 in Minster's 245-5, before taking 6-45 as Letcombe slipped to 202 all out.

Combe came out on top in a low-scoring game at Swinbrook, winning by 40 runs, thanks to Tim Knight's 5-12.

Batting proved tough at Uffington, but a partnership of 76 between Howard Preene (30) and Jason Kirkham (47) saw the home side to 162-7 against West Witney.

Stuart Sutcliffe then hit 75 not out as West Witney edged to a three-wicket victory.

Begbroke continue to surge up the table. Tim Wyatt (39no) and Gary Brock (38no) made light work of the target of 101 set for them by Hailey as they won by eight wickets.

East & West Hendred held off Kings Sutton by just one run to seal a thrilling victory in Division 4.

Hendred had notched 175-8 with Jonathan Francis hitting 61 not out.

Julian Hitchman (3-43) and Matty Turner (3-40) then kept the lid on Kings Sutton, as they fell just short.

George Redknap slammed a magnificent 142 as Stonesfield sealed a 128-run victory over Tetsworth 2nd.

Stonesfield reached 267-8, then Dave Skidmore (3-31) helped restrict Tetsworth to 139-8.

Buckland notched up an easy eight-wicket victory in Division 6 against Shrivenham 2nd, before Shrivenham were skittled out for 80, Alan Johnson taking amazing figures of 6-5.

Paul Belcher (32no) then steered Buckland home.

Steve Moss smashed an unbeaten 145 as Combe 2nd beat Garsington 2nd in Division 7.

Seventeen-year-old Ollie Smith again starred with bat and ball as Minster Lovell 2nd beat Brill 2nd by 12 runs.

Smith (61no) and Goff Blake (55) led a recovery after Minster had slipped to 11-3, before posting 173-8.

John Fitsell (79) top-scored in Brill's reply, but Smith (3-23) helped to restrict Brill to 161-8.

Opener Tim Gush carried his bat for 105 not out as Minster Lovell 3rd kept their unbeaten record intact with a 40-run victory over Chipping Norton.

Gush was backed up by 15-year-old Billy Carter (31) in Minster's 190-8, then Jamie Cross (4-17) and Sam Burnell (4-33) helped dismiss Chippy for 150.

Max Rose was the star for Hanney 2nd with a hat-trick and 47 not out, but it wasn't enough to prevent defeat by Marcham 2nd.
