A man has been told to expect a jail sentence after he admitted kicking a man in the head.
Paul Harms, 32, denied wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, but admitted unlawful wounding at Oxford Crown Court on June 16.
Anthony McGeorge, prosecuting, said Harms punched John Strong several times outside the Talkhouse in Stanton St John on August 13 last year.
He then kicked Mr Strong forcefully in the head as he lay on the ground.
Harms, of Mickle Way, Forest Hill, Oxford, was released on bail while reports are prepared. He will be sentenced on July 7.
