Two former Northampton Saints players have quit Banbury Bulls and are believed to be on their way to Oxford Harlequins.
Andy Noyce, a prolific points scorer in the last two seasons, and exciting centre Matt Goode, both of whom played in Oxfordshire's run to the Tetley's County Shield final at Twickenham last month, are set to take the well-trodden path from Banbury to Quins.
Noyce, who played at full back and centre, and Goode, a member of the Northampton Academy last season, join lock Simon Chatterton and back-row man Mark Dixon at Horspath Road
New Banbury skipper Matt McNally is resigned to losing the pair.
"It is just another hurdle to overcome and hopefully there will be players joining us to boost the squad," he said.
Harlequins' coach Matt Maudsley, whose side gained promotion to South West 1 last season and is keen to strengthen his squad, could not confirm the signings.
"I'd be delighted if they they were joining us, but nothing has so far been confirmed by the two players concerned," he said.
