Warborough & Shillingford are through to the Oxfordshire final of the National Village Championship for the first time in their history.
Their narrow three-wicket victory over Kidmore End on Sunday sets up a home tie with Shipton-under-Wychwood this weekend.
Chasing Kidmore End's total of 182-9, Warborough sneaked home, with two balls of their 40 overs to spare.
Rohan Iswariah (48) and Andy Hobbs (44) were the stars with the bat for Warborough.
Earlier, off-spinner James Tilley claimed 5-35, his match-winning spell including three wickets in the space of three balls -- bowling the dangerous Tom Sheldon, seeing Mark New run out and then taking a sharp caught and bowled to remove Jeff Sheldon.
Reaching the final is a fine achievement for a club who only play friendly cricket on a Sunday.
Warborough all-rounder Richard Tilley, the sports editor of the Oxford Mail's sister paper The Oxford Times, said: "I felt we would beat Kidmore End at our place, but Shipton are going to be a different proposition enti111rely.
"They are going to be big favourites in most people's minds, and justifiably so
"Shipton have got players who will do something special to turn a game on its head.
"The most pleasing thing about the Kidmore game was not that we won, but that we did ourselves justice.
"We embarrassed ourselves against Aston Rowant in the semi-final last year, when we came up against a good side and crumbled to be all out for 40-odd, so it was nice to go out and play decent cricket under pressure.
"More than anything, though, being able to host the national champions in a big game is going to be a special day for our club.
"And I think we've got an outside chance, if we play well. We've got good players, and I am not sure Shipton know a lot about us."
