Up to 90 jobs could be axed if an Oxfordshire electronics company follows the national trend by moving manufacturing to a cheaper base abroad.
Huber and Suhner, of Telford Road, Bicester, which employs about 170 people, has told 90 staff that their jobs could go.
It is believed the firm, which makes components for mobile telephones, will set up manufacturing bases in countries such as China and Poland.
Three years ago, the company employed about 600 people across two sites in Bicester and Daventry.
The Daventry site closed six months ago.
It is expected that about 80 people will remain at the Bicester site and will be responsible for sales and distribution.
Two of the company's three properties in Telford Road are up for sale.
There now follows a 30-day consultation period between management and staff.
Huber and Suhner general manager Andrew Paulley would not confirm the redundancies.
