Skipper Keith Arnold is back from injury to lead Oxfordshire in their three-day Minor Counties Championship game with Cornwall at Challow & Childrey, starting on Sunday.
Arnold missed the agonising bowl-out defeat to Dorset in the MCCA Cup second round on June 8 with a hamstring strain.
But he is fit again as Oxon look to kick-start what has been a disappointing season so far.
"Losing by ten wickets in the Championship to Berkshire and then going out on the bowl-out against Dorset is not what you would call the best of starts," said Arnold.
The Dorset game was especially disappointing. We got 260-odd, which they would not have got anywhere near, and then it rained.
"We had a fantastic side out that day, and if we could get that sort of team out every week, we would be some machine.
"But we do struggle with availability. We have got a good bowling side out this week for Cornwall, but you can bet that there will be changes for Herefordshire the week afterwards."
Stewart Laudat, who is still struggling with a knee injury, is missing for the Cornwall game, as are the unavailable Charlie Knightley and Giles Peddy.
Meanwhile, Oxfordshire now know that they must do without Oxford & Horspath all-rounder Ben Thompson for the remainder of the campaign.
Thompson's commitments as a professional with National League 1 rugby union side Exeter Chiefs mean he will not be able to play for Oxon at all this season.
