Part of the A34 south of Abingdon was closed while two horses were freed from an overturned horsebox.
The accident happened on the southbound lane, near Milton, just before 11am on June 22.
The estate car towing the horsebox suffered a blow-out and the driver, a man from the Oxford area, temporarily lost control.
The vehicle and trailer jacknifed, throwing the horsebox on to its side.
The driver was unhurt and the horses escaped injury. Another horsebox was brought to the scene.
