Home Counties Premier League: An excellent century from Mark Bredell saw Henley rattle up 316-6 against Banbury at White Post Road on Saturday, but it was not enough to give them their first Division 1 win of the season.
Given first use of a good batting track, the visitors began well, Dave Allaway and Chris Ellison putting on 76 for the first wicket, before the former became Ollie Murrey's first Premier League victim.
Two wickets fell quickly just after lunch, but Bredell and Andy Edwards then added 81 in 13 overs for the fourth wicket.
Darren White and Waqar Ahmed then shared partnerships of 59 and 70 with Bredell, who finished unbeaten on 109 from 90 balls, including three sixes and 15 fours as Henley declared on their formidable total after 65 overs.
For Banbury, Murrey picked up 3-68, his inexperience being exposed, while Dale Haupt bowled well with little luck.
Banbury's reply began badly, losing Andy Sabin in the third over as Waqar and Simon Ellison bowled tightly.
With a long tail, it was important that Banbury did not lose too many wickets early on.
Steve Beck batted solidly, reaching his second 50 in three innings before falling in the 43rd over for 69.
Young keeper Danny Harding batted maturely, particularly against the pace of Waqar, and was unlucky to miss out on a maiden league 50 by one run as the match petered out into a draw with Banbury on 187-4.
