Bicester and Chipping Norton have new men in charge of policing.
Insp Nick Deacon has moved to Chipping Norton from Witney, to take over from Insp Ray Howard, who has moved to take charge of Bicester police station.
Insp Deacon, who lives in Witney, joined Thames Valley Police in 1985 and has also worked in Abingdon, Oxford and Kidlington.
He said: "I'll be trying to achieve a high level of visibility and reassurance for the people in the town and surrounding countryside."
Bicester's new inspector is promising to get tough with burglars by using intelligence-gathering.
Insp Ray Howard spent three years in the RAF before joining Thames Valley Police.
Insp Howard, 36, said: "Issues are important to me as a resident as well as a police officer."
