A touring theatre group will be using part of a middle school in Oxford for rehearsal space.
As part of the schools' reorganisation, Isis Middle School, in Meadow Lane, will become part of SS Mary and John Primary School in September.
Oxford City Council's east area committee has approved permission for a change of use of part of the middle school site.
Oxfordshire Touring Theatre Company, which regularly performs open-air productions as part of Oxford's Fun in the Parks season of events, will take over six classrooms at the school.
The classrooms will be used as offices, meeting rooms and rehearsal space.
The relocation will mean that classroom space at St John Fisher School, in Blackbird Leys -- where the company is now based -- can be returned to the school for teaching purposes.
Part of the application also allows access to the school buildings for Ithaca, Life Long Learning and Reading Centre.
