A man appeared in court on June 24 charged with a series of robberies in Oxford.
Ian Sleight, 41, of no fixed abode, is accused of robbing a 12-year-old girl of a purse on Barn's Road bridge, Cowley, on June 14.
Two days later, he is alleged to have caused grievous bodily harm to 82-year-old Audrey Parry, in Cuckoo Lane, Headington. Mrs Parry suffered a fractured hip during a robbery in which a handbag containing £120 was stolen.
Sleight is also charged with robbing 79-year-old Harold Goldenfeldt of a wallet and £50 cash at lunchtime on June 20 in Latimer Road, Headington.
On June 22, he is alleged to have attempted to rob a handbag from Dorothy Munday, 83, in London Road, Headington.
Jonathan Stone, prosecuting at Oxford Magistrates' Court, said police were still investigating a number of similar robberies that have occurred in Headington and Blackbird Leys.
Sleight was remanded in custody to appear before Oxford Crown Court on June 30.
