Frustrated Carterton resident Andrew Wise has been trying for five months to get black recycling containers for residents at a mobile home park.

Mr Wise, who lives at Kings Court, said: "I moved there last July and started trying to get hold of a black box in October, but I keep getting excuses from West Oxfordshire District Council.

"At first I was told they had run out and were waiting for a delivery, and another time the recycling lorry could not get around the mobile home park. The council goes on about how important recycling is but then will not give us the boxes."

The council provides the black boxes so residents can recycle items such as bottles and newspapers.

George Kellow, the council's cabinet member for the environment, said: "We are looking into this as a matter of urgency."
