Jazz band Barcode Trio is one of two lesser-known Oxford groups who have packed their camping gear and headed off to perform at this weekend's Glastonbury Festival.
They were set to join busking brothers The Kirk Two, also from Oxford, as well as two big-name acts from the county -- Radiohead and Supergrass.
Barcode Trio were were due to appear on June 28 and 29 at noon. The trio comprises Jack Pescod, 23, on piano, his brother Matt, 22, on double bass and Chris McCartney, 40.
Jack said: "It's something we've always dreamed of and it's great it's happening so soon. We're very pleased and excited."
Earlier this year the trio were dropped from their regular Friday night spot at the Mitre pub restaurant, in High Street, Oxford, because it became too popular.
Managers were reluctant to let them go, but said too many people were complaining of overcrowding and noise.
The Kirk Two won a spot at the festival in a busking contest in Bath. Brothers Tom, 21, and Rory Kirkpatrick, 14, of Horspath, can often be seen busking in Oxford's Cornmarket Street.
