Primary school pupils swapped their school uniform for black trousers and white shirts to become police officers for a week.
Firefighters demonstrate how they use cutting equipment
Ten- and 11-year-olds at Millbrook Primary School, in Grove, near Wantage, took part in the exercise to learn about police work.
They found out what it was like to investigate crime and gather evidence.
Schools and youth involvement officers Pc Kate O'Kane and Pc Bill Russell worked with the children.
Pc O'Kane said: "This helps young people understand that we don't just go out and arrest people without gathering evidence and witness statements."
