Home Counties Premier League preview: Indian all-rounder Johnny Nambiar is missing as Oxford visit Division 1 champions and leaders High Wycombe on Saturday (July 5).
The 19-year-old opening batsman and seam bowler has returned home with his grandfather seriously ill, and is expected to be away for at least three weeks.
His absence presents a first chance this year for Nawaz Ali, who has been in the runs for the second team.
Pace bowler Mohson Rana also comes into the side, with David Angove and Philip Evans still sidelined, and wicket-keeper Ross Buchanan dropping down to captain the second team.
Oxford were shot out for a club record lowest league score of just 47 by Basingstoke last week, but skipper Rupert Evans believes they can bounce back.
"We want to get straight back into it and this game gives us an opportunity to put it right straightaway," he said.
