A hole-in-one by 14-year-old Sophie Purcell-Smith was the highlight of Frilford Heath's Junior Girls' Open, sponsored by White Horse Contractors.

Sophie, a 30-handicap member at Frilford, fired her ace at the 133-yard fourth hole on the Red Course.
The event, which attracted a field of 41 girls, aged between eight and 17, with handicaps from five and upwards, was won by Jess Florey, from Caversham Heath.
Playing off 13, she recorded 41 points for the 18-hole stableford competition.
Girls without handicaps played a modified medal over nine shortened holes, a competition Florey won in 2001.
Results: 1 J Florey (Caversham Heath) (13) 41pts, 2 J Baum (Huntercombe) (30) 40, 3 L Collin (John O'Gaunt) (10) 38.
